In my freshman year of high school I'm not gonna lie I didn't really apply myself in my academics because I was so focused on my hockey but after having to catch up all my grades in 2 weeks and not getting to play for a few months I finally figured out how to be the complete student athlete and yes my grades aren't the 4.0 like some other guys but my determination to get my grades up shows just how committed I'll be to my school and athletics at the college level. I wont pretend that I don't know that I'm not the tallest goalie out there but when I say that doesn't matter it really doesn't because if you understand how the angles of stopping the puck work like I do then you'll begin to realize why my size means nothing as long as i stop the puck well. Aside from understanding of angles my ability to read a play and where it's going to end up is something that I've found sets me apart from other goalies. Finally my ability to stay calm under pressure while still never quitting on a play has been praised by AA, AAA and WHL coaches and scouts.
