Avery Books '22 Recruiting Profile

I was raised to work for everything I’ve  earned and to only spend what I’ve made. Whether in school or on the ice rink I push myself to be the best I can be with some friendly competition along the way. I understand that school is a very important aspect in ones life and intend to take full advantage of the opportunities given to me through school. The leadership through school and my hockey teams has made me a team player with the efforts of my fellow players in mind. I will take responsibility for my mistakes and fix them once they’re recognized. I hope to go to a good school and build a good community in which players and students alike can achieve the best version of themselves that they can. I hold myself to a high standard and do things the best that I can because I want to, not because someone else wants me to. Hockey has been part of my life for almost my whole life and I’ve learned and grown in that sport so that I can be someone that others can look up to one day, not only as a player but as a person too.
