Personal Statement
I began playing hockey at the age of 5. Since that time, my passion for the sport has continued to grow and my desire to move on to higher levels has grown as well. As I got older I realized that hockey can help put me into a good college and beyond that if I chose. Having a goal like this undoubtedly drives me to improve my game daily.
I am different from other recruits because I am able to perform in tough situations. I do not just work hard on the ice but I also work hard off the ice, whether it is for the game of hockey or for the classroom. In school I put in the same high level of effort, allowing me to maintain straight As. I do this with classes that challenge my academic abilities and help me find a career of interest. My drive to keep my grades perfect is to open up more college opportunities in the future.
I moved to play hockey in Portland Oregon with the Jr. Portland Winterhawks for the 2016 I played for their u16AA team and won a national championship with them. That year I had a .92 save % and a 2.3 GAA
I played the back half of my 2017 season with the Wenatchee Wolves 18AAA team in the NAPHL. In regular season i posted a .91 save % and a 3 GAA and in playoffs i had a .97 save % with a .5 GAA.
For this year, the 2018 season, I will play in Tier One Elite with the San Jose Jr Sharks 18AAA team.
