I am an athlete with many great traits which would be outstanding for any team to have. All teammates, coaches, and scouts do not have bad comments to say about me. I am a leader and a positive person. One thing that many people hate is a negative person because it can discourage other players. I am the the opposite, I am positive, which encourages others do better. It is not always by telling them directly, it is sometimes by example. I am a leader on all of my teams. My coaches always count on me to do something for the team or get the team to do something for the coach. My GPA is 4.0, which is better than average in CAHA, the league I currently play in. Not only do I have a high GPA, I am also taking many AP and honors classes. I have lots of skill in hockey. I can do many things that many other players cannot do. I can play both forward and defense. I prefer to be an offensive defenseman, but if the coach needs anybody to play any position, I can step up and help the team at any time. One trait I have that many other players do not have is "hockey IQ." Many coaches and scouts have said that my IQ is a lot better than most players, which is good because it is something that cannot be taught. My goal is to make it to a competitive Division I school that will also get me a great education in mathematics.
