The game of hockey did not come easy to me as I was a smaller kid then most of my peers and had to overcome many obstacles to achieve my goals. Having to put in the hard work and dedication to be able to compete with my peers, and achieve my goals set for myself taught me many life lessons; one being nothing is handed to you. Learning the lessons at such an early age that I did and having to set the goals academically that my parents held me to and setting the goals athletically for myself has taught me to be a leader on and off the ice. I am looking for a program that will not only challenge me on the ice but off the ice also. This is very important to me to achieve my next set of goals in life. I believe that I have the dedication and work-ethic to make a direct impact to any program.
