Roberto Nabozny '23 Recruiting Profile

My collegiate goals and aspirations are  to be a solid Division 1 ice hockey player. Some of my goals are to have more assists than goals because helping score the goal I feel like is way more important that actually scoring the goal and being a big use to the team such as being able to play on power play and have the coaches feel comfortable with me out there in serious moments. What makes me different than any other recruit is that I will have way more heart and drive and will take any criticism in athletics and academics to point me in the better direction so I can be a better athlete and student. As a person I’m extremely out going and will talk to anyone that I haven’t met especially new teammates because in order to be a great athlete you have to be great at communication with any player and by talking to new players I could play better since I would have better chemistry with that player or players.  Also on the past three teams that I have played for I have always been spotlighted as a great leader and keeping the spirits of the team high if we ever had gone down in a game or having a rough practice, I've always found a way to improve everyone's performance, whether it be by showering them with positivity and energy, or giving them a nudge to start working harder by  giving them a love tap on the shin pad and telling them lets pick it up. Iv'e been told by many teammates and coaches that when on ice and off ice I give off a good vibe/impression that we as a team need to work harder and or make individual players work harder.
