Personal Statement
Playing on different travel hockey teams across countries and states has allowed me to grow as a player, teammate and leader. Every coach I’ve had has taught me valuable life lessons both on and off the ice, not all of them were easy, but they’ve made me become mentally stronger and has influenced who I am. Goals don’t happen overnight. They require sacrifice, determination and dedication. I’ve learned to be adaptable, especially when I moved across the country.
I believe that I have the character, work-ethic and focus to be a valuable asset to a college program that will be a good fit for me both athletically and academically. My academic goal is to explore a major in Sports Medicine/Athletic Training and become a coach once my hockey career is over. My athletic goal is to play college hockey at the highest level possible. I’ve been described as coachable, focused and passionate. I’ve learned that I’ll push myself to reach my goals and it’s really important to surround yourself with a community of people who support you to become a better version of yourself.
