“Go and win a hockey game!” said my coach. I was the last hope to grant our team the dub in the shootout… and I did. It was the best feeling in the world. That sense of accomplishment brought me to the conclusion that I was a competitive athlete and at that very point I knew what I wanted to do with my future.
My style of play is less about skill and more about work. I may be smaller than majority of my opponents but I will still run them through a wall if that’s what it takes to win. From attending a military academy and coming from a humble background I have gained leadership and a self motivated work ethic, which are extremely beneficial resources. My aspirations are to play as long as I can, as Jagr says, and make the most of my career.
