Personal Statement
I am looking to do whatever it takes to play for a Division 1 College program. My goals for achieving this is to keep working hard both in the classroom and on the ice. Grades are very important and I am going to do my best to strive for the best possible GPA I can get throughout High School.
I believe I am a very attractive recruit because of my work ethic and dedication to everything that I put my mind to. I am always looking to improve my skills and become a better player on the ice, while striving to be a better person off the ice as well. Another reason I would be a good candidate for your team is because hockey has always been apart of my life since I have been two years old. I fell in love with the sport when I started to learn how to skate at just three years old.
I have made drastic strides within the game of hockey. Just a few years ago, I was playing Peewee A hockey. Then my first year of Bantam I made the AA team which was the top team for the program. After the first year of bantam I moved onto my second year with the same team and got chosen to be captain. I had seventy points that year with fifty goals and thirty assists. Those two years as a Bantam, I tried out for my first AAA hockey team which was the Madison Capitols. I tried out for the U-15 team, and ended up making it. I remember not being the best player on the team but as the year moved on I started to improve a ton since I was around better players which made me work harder and pushed me. Towards the end of the season, I was leading in goals and lead second for points.
I am currently on the Madison Capitals U-16 AAA program. What this shows you is that if I were to be recruited by you, you would be getting a very hard worker and a determined individual to push himself to his limit. I am always willing to keep on improving and have been told I am a very coach-able player. You will be learning more about me when we make contact. Thank you for your time and interest.
