Personal Statement
I believe hockey is the most high energy, high intensity sport that exists. I bring energy both on and off the ice. I worked out 5-6 times a week in the 2017 offseason with Ian Mack who also works with Connor Carrick, Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman. At the USHL Combine in the spring of 2017, I weighed 140 lbs and my height was measured 5' 10". After working hard with Ian Mack last summer and continuing that same work ethic this season, I am now 175 lbs and 6’ tall. I give 100% each day when no one is watching, have a 3.48 cumulative GPA, and I am involved in Student Council and Pep band. This past season, I was selected Assistant Captain and played in the top defensive pairing for the Chicago Young Americans (CYA) in the HPHL. Using my skill set as a mobile defenseman, I was the only player given the opportunity to play offense and defense. My goal is to play in the USHL and to play Division 1 college hockey.
