I began my skating development a little late at the age of nine. I was taking learn to skate classes while my peers were off playing squirt level hockey. I had a passion for the sport of hockey right from the very beginning as I was learning to skate. As my development continued, I earned a spot on a house level team and eventually pushed myself to make a several travel teams. Knowing I was a little behind my peers, I have always pushed myself with extra workouts and power skating lessons so that I could develop faster. This work has began to pay dividends as I have enjoyed my last two seasons on my high school hockey club, and winning the state championship my sophomore year. I continue to take the extra workout sessions to develop my skill set and work hard to enhance my skills. I am a cerebral player and I understand my role on the team.
During my career with my high school hockey team I have learned a great work ethic, how to be a great teammate and how to develop my skills to win both on and off the ice. My goal now is to find a hockey program where I can continue to build on this strong foundation of skills and earn a college diploma. I have challenged myself in the classroom with many honors level courses. If my background and skill set meet the high character student athletes you are looking for, I may be a great fit for your program. I look forward to hearing from you!
