I've been playing hockey since I was four years old, so I can't imagine not continuing to play after high school. I am determined to do what it takes to reach that next level of hockey that I've always dreamed of--playing at the college level where I can put my skills to the test and also represent my school and its spirit and passion for the game. I want to choose the right school for me academically, but I also want to experience being part of a school sport that the student body and alumni enjoy watching.
Pursuing a higher level of hockey has been a lifetime goal of mine, and not being able to lace up the skates in a competitive atmosphere after high school is something I'm not ready to give up. I am very passionate about the game. I've been told by coaches that I'm a thoughtful player, that I use my thinking just as much as my body. I consider myself to be a respectful player, and I always thank the refs and coaches after every game. Although hockey can be a rough sport, I always try to honor the game by playing with respect and not playing dirty.
I'm confident that whichever school is the right one for me, I will put all of my effort into being the best--to get the education I'm looking for, to help to win for my team, and to make my school (and parents) proud.
