Personal Statement
Dear Coaches,
“Do not let the size deter you.” That is my message. I am a solid two-way defenseman with offensive upside. I play either a finesse or physical style depending on the type of game. I just recently finished my 2019-20 season with the 16U-AAA Long Island Gulls, where the team won both the LIAHL and AYHL Championships. The team was ranked 18th in the country at the 16U Tier 1 level.
Prior to my move to the Long Island Gulls, I spent ten (10) seasons playing for PAL/ PAL Jr. Islanders at the AAA level. While I was there, I was part of many championships, my two biggest achievements were being selected for the Islanders Pee Wee Quebec team and the 14U USA Player Development New York State Camp.
What makes me different from others? I do not have a me first attitude. My desire to help my teammates thrive for the good of themselves, the good of the team and love of the game. I take pride in helping make others around me better. Although we all love winning, sometimes we encounter bumps or setbacks, but those are the best games to learn from; they teach you character, respect, good work ethic and to never give up.
I will continue to pursue my academic and athletic goals as I finish my senior year of High School in Maine. I have been recruited and have accepted to attend Saint Dominic’s Academy and play my 2020-2021 season for the 18U Maine Nordiques Development Program.
I believe this life choice will only better prepare me for my future at the collegiate academic and athletic levels.
