- USPHL Premier Spotlight #4
Personal Statement
I have been playing hockey since I was eight years old and since that time my goal has always been to play in college. However, as I have gotten older I have realized that doing well academically is more important than doing well on the ice and I have worked as hard in the classroom as I have on the ice. As a result, I currently have a 3.9 GPA and I am confident I possess the skills and work ethic needed to succeed both on and off the ice no matter what college I attend.
A goalie is a very unique position. Not every player can be a goalie because of the tremendous physical and mental demands that are required. I am confident I possess all of the physical and mental skills that will allow me to be successful in this endeavor. I also believe I can earn the respect of my teammates because I work hard and aspire to be a team leader both on and off the ice. I support my teammates on every level and always do the best I can no matter what the task is.
