Personal Statement
I credit a lot of my hockey experience to others I have had in my life. Since fifth grade, I have played the tenor saxophone in my band. This showed me that you can have talent but you need to work hours and hours to get better after to really succeed. I see myself as more of an introvert, I keep to myself most of the time and try to push my team silently working harder and pushing myself to motivate the rest of the team.
9 years ago I participated in a break the ice program and that was the best choice I had ever made. I want to keep my hockey career going past high-school into a Junior program or College. I want to be somewhere I can excel on the ice and I can get a good education in the classroom. Through the ups and downs of my hockey career, I have learned so many things about myself, the fact that I am an introvert, as well as learning that "It ain't about how hard you hit, it's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward, how much you can take and keep moving forward" (Sylvester Stallone).
I look forward to you learning more about me as a potential student and an athlete for your program. Appreciate your time.
