Hello, my name is Preston Randall. Thank you for taking the time to look at my profile. I am an upcoming 2027 graduate at North Yarmouth Academy. Going to this prep school is an honor and a sacrifice for my family and I don’t take this opportunity lightly.
I was 3 years old when I started to ice skate. I was too young for hockey so my Mom put me into a figure skating club! I was the only boy and the only one in hockey skates. It taught me the fundamentals and made the learn to play that much easier! I was hooked immediately and loved the sport of hockey. It being my absolute favorite but I’d like to add, I am a 3 season athlete playing soccer in the fall and lacrosse in the spring. I also love to golf and downhill ski! I like to keep busy and feel lucky to be able to compete in the different levels of play.
I’m currently the team captain of my Middle School team. It was a team vote and I was honored when it was announced. If asked by a coach and or my teammates I believe I would be described as a great team player, someone who show’s outstanding leadership and sportsmanship.
My dream is to play at a D1 level but know it’s an honor to play at any college level as the statistics are not high for ice hockey! I love the position as goalie. I skated out for years and love to be challenged, so my squirt year I put on loaner gear and went to try outs. I made the team and that year we won the state championship. I have competed in the International Peewee tournament in Quebec and that was my favorite memory to date. To play in that Videotron in front of so many people will be something I never forget.
It is a dynamic position and I feel like I do best under pressure. I am excited to see what my future holds.
