Personal Statement
I am a motivated student athlete and person, I have always dreamed about playing Division 1 college hockey at the collegiate level since i went to college hockey games. I struggled in school my freshman year because there were so many kids in the school I could never get help with anything from any teachers which hurt me a lot. Ya I have struggled in my freshman year but I am not going to let that stop me from achieving my dream of playing Division 1 college hockey. My sophomore year I attended the Pilot Mound Hockey Academy and everything of mine improved I got better marks and scores because I got the help I needed. I am a very skilled hockey player Rod Collins has helped me so much by helping me find my hockey sense. He said from the beginning I know you were a very good player we just needed to find the hockey sense in you like I did for Sidney Crosby. Rod used to coach at Shattuck St.Mary's when Crosby, Toews, and Parise were there. He has taught me everything there is about hockey and I would practice it everyday on my own whenever there was free ice. Whenever I step on the ice I am in a whole new world of my own and it is the best feeling ever getting that rush of stepping on the ice. I am a very very dedicated hockey player and student. I always tend to put school before hockey but so far I haven't had any troubles except for freshman year. I hope you can look past that year because it was hard for me being at the bottom with no help and I showed everything how well I can do in school in Pilot Mound, MB.
