Personal Statement
I anticipate my college years, not as the prime of my life, but a period of growth to another step in my life. I plan to major in a neuroscience program during my college years. Majoring in neuroscience is like playing hockey for me; as you are in control when you play hockey, the brain and nervous system are always in control of the body. Being able to control and adapt my atmosphere to specific needs has always been a goal not only on the ice, but in everything I do. When playing with my line mates, whoever they are, I know when and where to move the puck at the crucial times in order to move the team forward on the ice. I also know when it is important to help provide some motivation and fire back into the team by delivering a big hit or an eye opening play. When the team needs something, I take it into my hands to help deliver; just as, when the team is down on themselves I ensure that I pick them up so we perform at the top level possible. The greatest players aren't always the one's with the dazzling moves and plays on the ice, but the ones who do the gritty work to move the team into a better position for anything. Being a gritty player and hard worker I ensure I do everything capable to move the team forward at the best of my abilities.
