Personal Statement
I am a 6' power forward from Chesapeake Beach, MD. I have been playing for the Skipjacks in the USPHL for the past 3 years. I have always been a very defensive minded forward and their top PK guy. I am willing to lay out and block shots and throw big hits to create opportunities for teammates and myself. I can also chip in on offense quite a bit and create plays and battle in the corners. Hockey is probably the most important thing to me, besides family of course but I can also have some fun outside of hockey. I love to hunt and fish. My family and I are big into outdoors and love spending our summers on the boat and during the winter we hunt together every chance we get.
I am very excited at the prospect of playing Junior hockey. I think I bring a great deal of value to a Junior A team. A lot of players my age focus solely on the offensive side of the puck, and I take pride in playing both ends of the ice. I know that a good Jr. team will help prepare me for college hockey.
As for college, Ideally I like the sound of going to a school with a great "college town" atmosphere. It could be a big or small school. I would like a school that's good at balancing hockey and academics that way I'm playing the sport I love, having fun, and getting better while I'm also getting a great education.
