As a freshman on varsity, making it to the Super 8 for the first time in program history was one of the most influential moments of my hockey career. Learning from working hard throughout the whole season made me realize the importance of competing every single day at practice. Throughout many hardships during the season, we came together as a team and I realized what it takes to be a good leader.
Despite this success being important to me, I believe I gained more from the many seasons in which the teams I competed for were not able to keep up with the competition. Seeing an immense amount of shots not only physically helped me improve, but improved my mental toughness as well. These seasons brought me together with my mentors to help me grow and gain character as a player and as a person. As a student, I am looking for a school that will not only be a good fit athletically, but one that will stimulate me academically. From all of these experiences, I believe I have gained the grit, work ethic and accountability to compete and be a leader at the college level.
