Isaiah McKinney '20 Recruiting Profile

I am a 6'4" defenseman weighing in at 205 pounds.  I have a lot of power and bring good size and solid strength to a team looking for such. Along with my physicality comes decent speed and a hard, quick shot. I feel my level of hockey knowledge is excellent but I am constantly trying to increase my understanding of the game.  I am competitive and I always do what I can to contribute to the success of my team. Even when things aren't going the way we want, I try to stay focused and work hard. I also do my best to be a positive and encouraging teammate. One of my goals is to play at the Division 1 level. Representing my school as a committed student-athlete will be a great and rewarding feeling.

Off the ice I try to maintain my same focused work ethic that I have on the ice. I put forth effort trying to be the best student I can. School was not always easy for me.  Although there were times I got discouraged, I knew staying focused and trying my hardest was vital to my success. I had a very positive senior year and I was successful in receiving my high school diploma. An accomplishment that I am very proud of. I know that my studies won't stop there. I will move on to college and bring that commitment and dedication to success with me.
