Personal Statement
My future collegiate goals are to get into a good college that will further develop my athletic skills and also challenge me in the classroom. Currently, I have approximately a 3.7 GPA, which I know I can further raise by continuing to work hard in school. I challenge myself in the classroom by taking some of the toughest courses available to me (Pre-Advanced Placement/Advanced Placement). I plan on continuing to take these more challenging courses not only throughout high school but also as I get into college.
I am confident that I'd be a great selection for your team because I'm vocal, kind, fair and determined. It's a great aspect for everyone to be a vocal person. Whether it be to motivate others or give someone a heads up, it's a great tool that I'm fortunate to have in my arsenal. But, with being a vocal person (athlete) and a leader, I am able to do it in a kind but enforcing way. The last thing I'd want is for my teammates to start turning on each other. Fairness and determination: these are two more of my attributes that in my opinion are necessary and important for any athlete. I think one of the most important things to know about me is that I'm very hard on myself. I always tell myself something like, "that wasn't good enough," and I keep striving and persevering through obstacles that come my way to challenge me and make me a better athlete. I firmly believe that there is always room for improvement.
I also firmly believe these traits really set me apart from other athletes. I try to help make everyone become a more developed player, especially myself because of the standards I set, not only for my game but also my education. I set the bar really high for myself, and once I pass it, I only keep working to move it up more.
