Personal Statement
If you are looking for a puck moving, board winning, penalty killing, assist drive defenseman, you have found the right guy! Look no further. This year I am +40 out of 42 games and our team is headed to Nationals. As a hockey player, I have played high level hockey all over the US and Canada. I have been on some great teams and have amazing memories.
The friendships and people in my life is truly what makes being a student athlete special to me. My time at Stanstead College in Quebec, Canada and Lawrence Academy in Groton, Massachusetts has been amazing and my growth as student athlete has evolved to the next level. My senior year I moved to Maryland to play with the U18AAA Team Maryland team and attended Laurel Springs online to finish my high school career. This move was important for me in order to be able to train, travel, focus on hockey and education, and become independent while living on my own to get ready for junior hockey before attending college.
If you are looking for a puck moving defenseman that helps create a fast-paced game, then I’m your guy. I play great on my backhand, and as you will see in my videos, I have really good puck control. In addition, I have a strong net presence and enjoy killing penalties. I have the ability to make good passes, skate with my head up, and have a strong hockey IQ. I am a quick learner, coachable and extremely hard working. Given the opportunity, I am not opposed to earning my ice time! My goals are to become a great student athlete, play college hockey, hone my skills, so that I can truly evolve and develop as a great player, leader and person.
Being a kid from a small country town in North Carolina, and traveling to Canada to pursue my dreams, has given me the opportunity of a lifetime to experience hockey in both the New England and Canadian markets. The different pace, the varying coaching styles, the different types of players, and the international team atmosphere are all things that I have embraced and continue to love. I have no doubt that my coaches, teammates, and teachers would all say that I am respectful, work hard, a leader, and most of all a great teammate and friend. I know that moving forward these are all things that are extremely important to be successful in this sport and I look forward to the opportunity to play for a team where I can contribute and help that team become successful.
Thank you for your interest in me. I look forward to hearing from you.
