Personal Statement
For as long as I can remember playing college hockey has been a dream that I have wanted to achieve. From the first time I saw a hockey game played at the age of three, the sport has been something I have fallen in love with. From playing high stake games for championships to playing pond hockey with friends, the game has never ceased to keep me entertained. As I get older my love for the game only grows. Having the opportunity to pursue a strong education while being able to play hockey at the college level would be a dream come true for me.
One aspect of hockey and in life that I pride myself in is my work ethic. When I set a goal, I am going to do everything I possibly can to achieve it. I always push myself to be the best player and person I can be on and off the ice. I feel that having a strong work ethic doesn't just help with skill development but having a strong compete level. I hope that being wiling to work hard will not just make me successful in my dreams for hockey but successful in life as well.
Going into my freshman year in high school, I made the decision to leave home and compete at the prep school level in New England. My decision to attend Berkshire School was one that took a lot of thought but I feel it was the right decision for me. Playing hockey at the prep school level has forced me to elevate my game as well as balance school and hockey to be successful.
Playing hockey at the collegiate level has been something I have worked for all my life. I feel that my work ethic, compete level, and love for the game can get me far and hopefully give me a shot at playing college hockey.
