Personal Statement
I go to the front of the net, and I will take a hit to make a play. Not only do I have great hockey sense, but I have something else that just can't be taught, I have size. I am 6'2" and currently weigh about 200lbs.
In school I'm an honor roll student and take all honors classes. I am also in an engineering program at school. In the future, I would really like to play college hockey and eventually get into coaching. I am a hard worker on and off the ice which shows in everything I do.
I tore my ACL in December 2020 and had reconstructive surgery on it in January 2021. I have been working hard on my recovery and hit my milestones for rehab earlier than what was projected.
While away from the ice I supported my team attending almost every game and helping out on the bench. While still continuing to work closely with a physical therapist, I was able to return to the game I love at the beginning of the 21/22 season.
While this has not been my strongest season when it comes to performance, it has been a season of great growth in character and resilience. I have learned that being the best player for a team does not always mean the one scoring the most or playing on the first line. Being the best player means supporting my teammates on and off the ice. Knowing the game and being able to strategize along side the coaches.
Above all else it is my character and dedication that stands out. I am a good teammate, player, and friend. I am an unselfish player who recognizes that by bettering the team I better myself. Not only do I work hard, but I push my teammates to work hard . i work with my coaches and teammates to try to put out the best hockey product that I can.
