Personal Statement

Going 24-2-2 when I was a Sophomore, achieving the best record in the schools history and winning the Metro league was the highlights of my high school playing.  However, I felt I grew the most as a player my sophomore year as well, when we lost in the regional state finals. That experience helped me to grow as a player and led me to re-focus my own efforts on becoming a better Defenseman. Three years in a row, I have led the defenseman in Assists and plus/minus.

I am grateful for being a part of an amazing program, getting to the regional state finals three years in a row. I gained the appreciation of teamwork, commitment, and leadership in the three years playing high school hockey. I am looking for a program that will be a good fit for me athletically as well as academically. I know that I not only have the talent to compete for a college team, but the work-ethic, passion, and character to make an immediate impact in any program.
