Personal Statement
Thanks for reading more about me. I live in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan which is known as the original Hockey Town and has a long tradition of hockey. It's hard to grow up in a town like this without falling in love with hockey.
As a 2003, I’m looking to make the transition from 18U AAA Premier Tier 1 to Junior hockey in the 2022-2023 season. I've been conditioning and attending camps/combines this summer (2022) and looking forward to the final processes of main camps/etc. to find the right fit for next season (2022-2023) and am working towards playing in the NCDC or NAHL.
Over the past 5 years, I played 2 years of varsity high school hockey as a Freshman and Sophomore in Michigan. Then I moved to New Jersey to play AAA U16 and U18 over the past three years for the Philadelphia Hockey Club. In this past season, I served as an Alternate Captain and primarily played wing on the first or second lines and center on the PP and PK. I ended the season with 26 points (9 goals / 17 assists).
My strengths this past season were the energy I brought to the team and winning 50-50 battles to create scoring opportunities. My biggest area of growth in the past season was becoming a leader and being flexible in rotating from wing and center throughout the game.
More about me ...
Someone recently asked me what kind of player I am, and my first response was - "I'm aware" ... What I mean is that I'm anticipating what could happen next and what is my next best move. While on the smaller size, I'm a very physical player. I like a physical game and believe it's one of my strong points. I've had to become a bit more disciplined to stay out of the box and about using my physical game to my team's advantage by freeing up the puck. My size and determination can get out of the corners quickly and to win puck battles at the boards
.... Thanks for taking the time to learn more about me.
