I took interest in hockey at a very young age. I was five years old when I began playing association hockey in Minnesota. I was always a more natural defenseman because of my vision of the ice and passing skills. I was selected to try out for Reebok High Performance teams my freshman and sophomore year. My sophomore year, I began playing high school hockey in Faribault, Minnesota. I made the varsity team and improved enough to even earn a starting defensive position during the second half of the 2013- 2014 season. The next summer I tried out for an MnJHL team called the Steele County Blades. This Junior hockey team is out of Owatonna, Minnesota. I made the team and played a split season with them in the Fall of 2014 and Spring of 2015. I played in Faribault for the 2014-2015 high school hockey season, where I am a captain of the team.
During my sophomore year of high school, I earned All-Conference Honorable Mention for the Big 9.
For my Junior year in high school hockey, I was given an All-Conference award after leading the team as a captain.
I want to attend a college in Minnesota or its neighboring states to play Division I or III hockey. Playing in the NAHL after high school is something I strive for since it would increase my chances of playing college hockey. I have been invited to and attended NAHL main tryout camps between by Junior and Senior year. I'm improving and developing to prepare myself for an NAHL or USHL team as soon as possiblle.
My goal and aspirations are to play college hockey. Ideally the highest level I can. I am and have always been a team player and leader on and off the ice. I make it a point to be the hardest working member of the team and challenge all around me to do the same. I am a 3.9 student who places academics first. I enjoy math and science and do well at both. I have been selected to represent my school in leadership programs and feel this has helped me in my hockey to date. My biggest attribute on the ice is the ability to learn and execute exactly what my coaches ask of me. Most of all, I enjoy hockey more than anything else that I do and I have a constant drive to always do better, be better, and ensure my team's success.
