Personal Statement
My goal is to play Division1 hockey and strive for success on and off the ice. I am a motivated student athlete taking several years of advanced mathematics and now taking an engineering track in high school. My participation in robotics the last 3 years has opened my eyes to a career in engineering. My calm demeanor and confidence to overcome the pressures of the game have made me the goalie I am today. I am always open to new ideas and constructive criticism by coaches and teachers.
I started playing hockey at the age of 6. After my first season I decided to be a goalie. Since becoming a goalie, I have received most of my training through Stauber's Goalcrease 1 on 1 sessions. I have trained and continue to train with Goalcrease trainers over the last 8 years. Over the years, I have participated in goalie camps and have been on many different AAA hockey teams. My strong work ethic and determination has lead to my success in hockey and in life. I was able to help lead my PeeWee A hockey team to a a district Championship win. Last year I made the High Performance Tier 1 14u District10 team. I am now taking part in the High Performance 15 program. I continue to progress through this program and will be attending the summer festival in St. Cloud in June. Based on my recent performance at the High Performance spring festival, I have been invited to participate in the Dave Peterson Goalie Camp in August. I would be a great a asset to any university. I really love hockey, but also enjoy other hobbies of baseball, dirt biking, skiing, archery and more.
