Aiden Wahlstrom '22 Recruiting Profile

I am active and involved at home, in school, and in the community.  I enjoy leadership opportunities and currently serve as a student leader for my church youth group.  I am involved in weekly planning meetings and enjoy speaking to groups of 100+ students to open our events.  I am going to the Middle East on a mission trip in the summer of 2020 and am preparing by learning a portion of the Arabic language and studying the culture. I believe serving is a form of leadership and similarly, leadership is a form of serving when coupled with a sense of justice and broad perspective.  I have varied interests, spanning from intense athletics like hockey and mountain biking, to painting, singing, and spending quality time with family. I have aspirations both in sport and scholastics and prioritize accordingly.  I am on task moving through the school day intentionally, then on to practice, then home for homework, and making sure to keep time for social outlets.  I am flexible and enjoy autonomy, yet thrive where there is transparency and known expectations.
