ACTIVITIES AND ACHIEVEMENTS: Currently participating in the off-season elite hockey training program Community Athletic Development Program in Minneapolis MN. Also skates and trains with Jack Blatherwick, former head scout and team physiologist for the Washington Capitals-NHL 2005-2016.

Parents: Lenny and Melissa Vannelli Siblings: Katie, Laura, Adam. Laura played college hockey at Gustavus and is a lawyer for Mayo Clinic. Katie played at UW Eau Claire and works for the MN Wild, NHL.  Adam is a Junior defenseman at Indiana Tech University-NAIA Division 1; Cousin Tommy Vannelli played for the 2013 USA Hockey World Junior Silver Medalist Sochi, Russia, a 47th overall draft pick in 2013 NHL draft by the St Louis Blues.

Ian’s Interests: Hockey, Lacrosse, Soccer, Fishing, Golf Favorite Player: Erik Karlsson.

Ian’s Hockey Goals: To compete for USA Hockey in the World Juniors; continue my education and hockey career in college and beyond.
