Personal Statement
My collegiate goals are to graduate from a Division 1 Hockey School with a degree in Actuarial Science. I take a lot of pride in being a Student-Athlete. It is one of the hardest things in life to manage both when you are young. Having close to a 4.0 GPA and also being chosen as an assistant captain as a Junior on your Varsity High School Hockey Team means so much to me.
I was trying to think of what to say about myself that described me. Then I was selected by my summer/Fall Coach as Player of the month for August and September of 2018. What he said about me is what I have been trying to say. I work very hard at what I feel the game and team need from me and this is exactly who I am on and off the ice! I think what he said describes me both as a player and as a person.
"To make a sizable improvement to one’s game impact, you need to do more than just boost your physical tools. What good does it do to be a fast player if you don’t know how to utilize your speed? Or what benefit is the hardest shot in the league if a player doesn’t know when to execute different shots or what to look for at the net? Proper application of these tools in different game scenarios is arguably more impactful then the tools themselves. And Brady understands this balance as well as any Athlete in our program. While he has made big moves in his physical growth through a strong workout campaign, his on-ice awareness has grown as well. Brady has been a stout two-way defenseman for the Blue Army U18 team this fall, and looks to add more value for his Bears this upcoming season." Wes Jirovec Map Hockey.
