Personal Statement
Hello, my name is Tyler Kulbanskiy. It’s always been my dream to play college hockey. I can’t imagine life without hockey. I’ve been playing my whole life since I was 5. I currently play for the New Jersey Avalanche 16U AA team and I start Varsity for my High School team. I believe I stand out from my teammates because I don’t make rash decisions on the ice that can negatively impact my team and I play with patience and control. I’ve always been told by parents and coaches that I have a high hockey IQ. I am also an excellent student and will be applying to competitive colleges in the fall.
The past year has been very difficult for many reasons. Some of my friends and former teammates’ seasons were cancelled. I am lucky to play both the High School and Travel games, although with many delays and game cancellations.
Now that the season is over, I am looking forward to college tours and several events and camps I’m attending over the spring and summer, including ACHA COLLEGE HOCKEY SHOWCASE in Chicago, NCAA CAMP at Princeton University and TIER I HOCKEY Camp in Massachusetts.
Thank you for taking the time to read my profile.
