My name is Samuel Libetti and I am a senior at Cherokee High School in Marlton, NJ. My love of hockey started when I was just 18 months old and used to wear roller blades from the time I woke up until the time I went to bed. My parents say I always had a hockey stick in my hand.
When I was 3 years old I used to go with my dad to his men's league games where I would skate the warm ups with his team and then shoot between periods.
My biggest influences growing up were my parents who told me no matter what I do in life be sure to give it my all.
I started playing organized hockey at the age of 5. From that time I always played up in levels and find I am most natural at forward. I did however play 2 seasons on defense which helped me to become a very defensive minded forward. I study the game each and every time I play or watch hockey.
I have set goals to continue to play hockey at the highest level possible and strive to attend a division 1 college. My goal is to continue with hockey whether that be playing at the highest level or obtaining my degree in education and to pass on my knowledge of the game by coaching at a high school or junior level.
