I am very excited for this stage in my life and hockey career. I am a power forward who can play anywhere on offense, although I prefer right wing, and I have many assets. I can handle the puck astoundingly for my size according to former NHL player, Randy John Velischek. Mr. Velischek also says that my shot is very hard and is also very accurate. I can shoot the puck hard from anywhere. The hardest slapshot I've every taken went 82 MPH and my fastest snapshot went 71 MPH. Another one of my favorite things to do during games is to stand in front of the net and cause havoc. I play the game with a lot of passion and heart. My emotions used get the best of me, but I have progressed during the past seasons. I don't take any retaliation penalties anymore. I believe that this has come from being a level 3 referee. As of now I only ref peewee, squirt, and mite games, but I learned that a lot of pressure is on the referee to make the correct call. I am progressing in academics. My grades weren't my best last semester. But I take advanced math with 11th graders. My favorite subject is Physics as we do a lot of hands on learning projects. I also like a class called Stagecraft in which we build a stage for a musical. I excell at helping others in subjects ranging from Physics to English. I often participate in voulenteering with the school, and outside organizations such as a local Police Department. During my free time, my peers can always find me in the library reading, helping my friends with work, or playing a game of chess. As well as love school, one of my favorite pastime and hobbies is to sing and play guitar. I have been playing guitar for about 5 or 6 years and I have been singing for about 3 years. Thank you for your time in considering me as a future player for your college.
