Personal Statement
I have an in-depth understanding of hockey and possess a very high hockey IQ which has enabled me to become a player my freshman and sophomore teammates look to for guidance and senior and team captains rely upon as a valuable asset during games. I hope to be able to continue to play the sport I love and respect while pursuing a college degree. I am very proud of the well-rounded student athlete I have become in high school, achieving success as we won our division my freshman year, and suffering disappointments as well. My proudest moment occurred this past Spring during our end-of-year banquet when my coach told me I would have a C on my sweater this season, being my Senior Year. I am looking forward to leading my high school team this winter while simultaneously playing Juniors under Coach Graziano of the NJ Renegades. While other Junior-league coaches did show interest in recruitment, my loyalty and commitment to the team I have been playing with for the past 3 years drove my signing with the NJ-based Renegades.
I want nothing more than to continue to apply my high standards at the college level and remain a successful student-athlete. Hockey gets the best of who I am, and I truly believe coaches will quickly find my lack of size is made up for in dedication, heart, commitment and overall respect for the sport. I hope to be given the chance to prove myself. I am very open to Club options.
Be a hard worker on and off the ice. Be a Leader on the ice and the bench. Respect the Sport. Every game, every practice.
