Personal Statement
Playing in New Mexico was always quite a struggle for me and the teams I had played on. But we fought through the adversity of a short roster and the lack of ice time we could get and always put up a good fight. Playing with these teams really showed me that you can play with anyone as long as you put up a good effort and play as a team. The experiences I had really helped me grow as a person and have fun with the game. Yet, my last year playing in New York was a game changer, it was far away from home, but I quickly bonded with the rest of the team and gained my respect. Throughout the season, all of my focus was on hockey, while I also maintained my 4.25 GPA through online classes. As the season went on, I began to become a leader with the elite team and really tried to push everyone, including myself in order for us to make a playoff run. On the other hand, practicing with the premier team every day and with the elite team at night really helped me develop the playing aspect of my game. With more years to come I plan on continuing to develop to play at the highest level I can.
As I look ahead, I plan on continuing my junior career, and continuing to look for a school that fits me. I hope to go somewhere that fits me academically and athletically. I want to continue to be challenged in order to become a better player and person. Location is not as much of a factor, I will go anywhere as long as I know I can continue playing and get a good education. I know that with my academics and knowledge of the game, I will make a great fit almost anywhere.
