Personal Statement

My goals are to play at a collegiate level of play in my future. I hope to make a positive impact on a specific program. I want to be the best i can possibly be and i will always put forth the maximum amount of effort that I can. I believe i am a team player and i work extremely well in the team environment. I have the ability to be a leader as well as a listener. I understand as i would go into a program as a young player with no prior college hockey experience but as i mature within the program i would strive to be a positive role model to younger players. I would help them through the stresses and pressures they may be dealing with because i most likely had faced the same situations in a previous time. I am extremely dedicated to the sport of hockey. I would be dedicated to the team as well as my teammates. To me a team is like a family and i would protect anyone on my team like family. We would all work hard together. I find i have an alertness while I play hockey. I can properly anticipate the puck and i know where to be. I train hard in the offseason to be in great shape as the season approaches. I have been exposed to hockey since a very young age as well. I have played for a vast array of coaches that I have gained immeasurable knowledge from. I have the greatest amount of respect for any coach that i have ever had the opportunity to play for. Through hockey I have met many players from all over North America. They each have there own personality and through this we now all share a strong sense of brotherhood. I have played in 3 New York State Championship hockey games, because of that i have been exposed to the highest level of hockey i believe. In the 2013- 2014 season I was part of the Beekmantown Eagles hockey team that placed second in all of New york among the Division 2 high school hockey teams. As a sophomore I started out on the third line of forwards and by the end of the season i was receiving regular shifts on our first and second lines. Although high school hockey is a high level of hockey. I believe i have played at an even higher level. I played AAA hockey for the New York Selects. We played mainly in Canada because it allowed for the greatest exposure to high levels of play. From this i have gained so much experience. I have played against some of the most talented kids among my age group through this and it has helped me immensely. As a closing remark I hope I have made an impact on you in someway and in the future i hope to make an even greater impression and impact on your team and fans.
