Personal Statement
At four years old, my family signed me up for hockey, the only sport they could find open to four-year-olds and high energy enough to wear me out. Now that I'm sixteen, I've grown into a hockey player that is a key part of the team both on and off the ice. Starting my hockey career as a Defenseman and now playing offense, I had to relearn the game. Making that switch taught me the confidence it takes to become a first-line threat - the kind I used to hate. It took hours of practice, workouts, and slapshots in my basement to become the diligent, coachable player I am today.
I know going somewhere in hockey means sacrifice, and I would never want to look back on things with any regret. This drives me to be a smart and passionate playmaker who supports the puck and anticipates the play. My goal for the future is to play at the highest level, both teamwise and personally. To achieve this goal, I will continue to push myself in every practice, every game, and every decision.
