In college, I am interested in being a student athlete. I have always wanted to compete at a college level and be a part of a team like that. Hockey has been something that I have loved for most of my life. I grew up watching hockey games with my dad, and I have traveled nationally and internationally to watch many different teams play in different arenas. While I have not played on a higher level team, my passion for the sport and my ability to learn is what sets me apart. I have always been a starting goalie, which is something that I take pride in. This last year, my high school did not have their own varsity team, so I went into my local draft; I was drafted to a team with people I did not know, but that only pushed me harder. My teammates and I were able to form bonds and win some amazing games together, and I believe the experience has only made me a better hockey player and a better teammate. In addition to hockey, I also play lacrosse. I have always loved being active and the experience of being on a team, being able to form bonds with my teammates over our love for the sport. Academically, I have struggled but I am a hard worker; I apply the same determination and perseverance that I have gained in sports in school. Advancing my education in college, as well as being able to advance my athleticism, is something I am very passionate about and look forward to doing so in the future.
