Personal Statement

Hello I am Jordan Edelstein,

At 4 years old, I knew I wanted to play collegiate hockey.  I had fallen in love with the game of hockey as soon as I touched the ice.

I started to play the goaltender position at 5. I played competitive team hockey in middle school with my school's middle school team as the starting goaltender. During this time I got some call ups to play Varsity hockey.   After middle school, in ninth I played Varsity Hockey, as a back up, for my school and played for the Central Park Hawks Bantam B team. In 10th Grade, I played Varsity Hockey as the Starter and played for the New York City Skyliner's 16u which was a AA team.  In 11th grade, I played Varsity Hockey as a starter and played again for the New York City Skyliner's 16u A/AA team. During my senior year I will be playing for the North Jersey Avalanche 18u AAA Elite Team and will be the starting goaltender for my high school's varsity team.

I am good candidate for any college or junior team because I am ready to do what ever it takes for the team to win.  I am different from the other recruits because I try my hardest in athletics and academics even if I have to work incredibly hard.  My goal is to become a better hockey player by improving my transitions from butterfly to standing and working on staying on my feet and not dropping down into my butterfly too early. I am very grateful for all of the coaches that have helped me grow into the hockey player I am today. Thanks for taking the time to view my profile. If you have any questions please email me at [email protected].

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
