Personal Statement
“I want to play hockey on ice” - This is what I told my parents when I was 4 ½ years old. At age 5, I was on the ice in an initiation program. By age 7 I was playing travel hockey on ice.
“I want to play hockey in college” - This is what I told my parents when I was 14. To me this is a continuation of my 1st goal but it is currently the quest that I am on. While on this quest, I plan on continuing to learn and get better as both a person and hockey player. In school, I am motivated to do well because I know that I have to get good grades and good college prep test scores to even have a chance of getting into college.
This quest has not been easy and I could not have gotten here without the support of my parents, teachers, and coaches. But, I am determined to continue on as I am determined to reach my end goal.
