John McCann '20 Recruiting Profile

My large goal is to go as far as a can with hockey and get a degree. What makes me different from other recruits is that I put in endless work on and off the ice, I give 100% effort all the time and never give up when most kids would. Throughout my life i've been pushed to different levels by my parents and coaches that have helped me grow as a player and as a person. 

I am a great team leader and team player and I always look for improvements in my game by receiving critisism good or bad, but also helping out my teammates and giving them helpful criticism. I have been fortunate enough to play for the Suffolk Selects, which helped me experience what travel hockey is like at all the levels. Through Suffolk Selects I have played Triple A tournaments and Triple A teams, which have helped me grow as a player.

This year academically wasn't my best year, but I know that if I apply myself more to my studies I'm going to succeed. In school I try to take advanced classes to challenge myself, and push my self to different levels academically.
