Personal Statement

Aspirations: Collegiate Hockey Player

Unique Qualities: Character, Athletics, Academics

I am a dedicated and determined athlete with a passion for hockey. Throughout my high school career and with my travel teams, I have consistently achieved success, demonstrating my commitment to excellence and my ability to contribute to a winning culture.

Thriving in Pressure:

In the 2023-2024 travel season, I was part of an outstanding 18U travel team ranked 6th in the USA for Tier 2 and 9th overall in New York for all 18U teams. Our team's resilience and ability to perform under pressure earned us an at-large bid for the NYS Championship, where I contributed two goals and one assist against top teams in New York State.

In the 2022-2023 season, I was part of a 16U travel team ranked 1st in the USA for Tier 2 and 12th overall in New York for all 16U teams. We secured the number 1 seed in the NYS Championship, showcasing our collective talent and dedication.

High School Achievements:

Throughout high school, I consistently contributed to my team's success. As a sophomore, our JV team emerged as Division 1 Champions in the highly competitive 2021-22 Niagara Frontier JV Hockey League. Moving up to the varsity level, we made it to the quarterfinals in the Section 6 Large School Division as a junior and reached the finals of the Section 6 Championship game as a senior.

Academics Matter:

Recognizing the need for a balanced lifestyle, I prioritize academics alongside my hockey pursuits. Excelling in my courses is of utmost importance to me, as I understand the value of a well-rounded education.

Why I'm a Good Candidate:

I believe I am a strong candidate for your team because I possess key qualities that contribute to success on the ice. I am coachable, always eager to learn and improve. Additionally, my skating abilities are exceptional, characterized by great speed and vision/hockey sense. My playmaker abilities allow me to create scoring opportunities for my teammates, and I take pride in being a good two-way player, contributing both offensively and defensively. I am also a face off specialist.

As I look ahead, my ultimate aspiration is to continue my hockey career at the collegiate level. I firmly believe that my championship-caliber skills, unwavering dedication, and strong character make me an asset to any team. Thank you for considering me, I am excited about the opportunity to contribute to your team's success.
