My ultimate goal and dream is to play competitive college hockey while receiving a fantastic education at a University where I intend to study Nursing, ultimately preparing me to apply for Medical School after undergrad, in hopes of becoming a Trauma Surgeon. I have used hockey as a tool to achieve that by helping me get into an excellent college where I can play the sport I love while setting up my career. I have always kept academics the main focus and strive to excel academically every day. One of the principles I have built my life and character around is never give up. There has been many times I have been tempted to quit or get discouraged in hockey, like this past season (2019-2020) when I tore my right shoulder labrum and had to get surgery, all after a grueling previous 2018-2019 season that was also cut short from my left shoulder requiring surgery and continuing to finish the season out despite needing the surgery.
I am a very dedicated and driven individual. I am constantly setting and changing my goals and striving to meet and excel beyond them. I work well under pressure, think rationally and am mentally tough. Hockey has been an amazing tool to mold my character and prepare me for life beyond the ice and even beyond the classroom. Outside of a crazy academic and hockey schedule I own my own auto detailing business, in which I have learned so much about owning and running a business, and the car detailing industry.
