Personal Statement

My name is Drew Schemmel and I am a graduate of Centerville High school in the broadcasting management program. My goal is to go to a college that fits me and study business or communications. I would like to play hockey at that school and play at the highest level of competition.

I currently play for the Northeast Generals hockey team. I have played Tier 3 Juniors and Tier1/AAA hockey for a number of years. I am a good candidate for your team because I am a leader, I am very coachable, and I can produce results on the ice for a team. I have been characterized by coaches as a great guy to have in the locker room and supportive of my teammates. Junior hockey has taught me to give back to the community.

I am different from other recruits because I am a two way player that can win offensive, defensive, and neutral zone faceoffs. I have been taught to play a team game, and to battle hard in the corners and down low. I play in every type of situation and I block every shot I possibly can.

Thanks,

Drew
