Personal Statement

My name is Drew Schemmel and I am a graduate of Centerville High school in the broadcasting management program. My goal is to go to a college that fits me and study business or communications. I would like to play hockey at that school and play at the highest level of competition.

I currently play for the Norwich Sea Captains. I am playing Tier 3 Juniors and feel I am capable of much more. I am a good candidate for your team because I am a coachable leader, that can produce results on the ice for a team.

I have been characterized by coaches as a great guy to have in the locker room and supportive of my teammates. Junior hockey has taught me to give back to the community.

I am different from other recruits because I am a two way player that can win faceoffs in every zone and can play in every situation. I have been taught to play a team game, and to battle hard in the corners and in front of the net.
