My name is Ivan Jr. and I’m a student at Corpus Christi Catholic Secondary School. I am in grade 12 and will be graduating high school in June 2025. I was drafted in the OHL Priority draft by the Mississauga Steelheads in the 15th round (288 pick) on April 22nd, 2023. I attended the Steelhead's Development Camp in April and have been invited back to attend the Team’s Main Camp in August. I am currently playing and was named the starting goalie in October for Welland Jr Canadians Team from the GOJHL. I am currently leading the league in saves and games played by a rookie goalie. Last season I was the starting goalie for the Burlington Eagles U18 AAA team for the 2023/24 season. That was my 10th year in a row playing AAA for Burlington Eagles. During the 2023/24 season, I signed an Affiliated Player card with the Burlington Cougars Team from the OJHL and the Caledonia Courvairs Junior B Hockey Team from GOJHL. I was selected as the starting goalie for my high school hockey team in 2022 where we won both tournaments that the school entered.
I play goal with a left handed shot. The last 8 years I have been used to play 80% of playoff games and given the task to play all top ranked teams in Canada and USA in tournaments.
My plan this upcoming year is to continue achieve honor roll marks in high school and develop to get myself ready to play hockey at the next level. I finished my second year of high school on the school’s honour roll again and over 40 volunteer hours.
I’m 6'1 160 lbs with a competitive heart to win.
