Personal Statement

From the first time I tried to play goalie, I knew that I had found my passion. I learned to play for the sheer fun of it, and to apply myself in order to compete and improve. I continue to love it now as much as I did then, and I am determined to take it to the highest level that my talent and resolve will allow. Beyond my team based practices and games, I do private goalie training twice per week and dry land training.

My parents are both well-educated health care professionals. They have taught me to enjoy school and to apply myself to maintain high grades and to keep all doors open for future opportunities. While I am too young to know exactly what kind of education I want, I do know that I will go to university for an undergraduate degree and probably more than that.

I am lucky to have a supportive family. I am mature enough to know that if I remain committed and focused, that I can combine hockey and school to achieve all of my career goals.
