A.J. Underhill '27 Recruiting Profile

Coaches and Recruiters,

Hi, my name is A.J. (Anderson) Underhill, 16, and I'm an ambitious and self-driven athlete pushing to make daily gains both on and off the ice. 

On April 12, 2025, I was Drafted by the Brantford Bulldogs in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) Priority Selection (6 #122 overall).

This past hockey season (2024-2025) was my fourth with the Halton Hurricanes AAA organization, where I am pleased to say we won the Ontario Minor Hockey Association Championship for the second time in three years. I was an assistant captain for two of the four years (our coach did not appoint captains for our last year.) This past season I was also an affiliated player with our local junior A team, the Milton Menace (OJHL) and the U18 AAA Halton Hurricanes. As a player, I am focused on playing consistent hockey, being hard to play against as a great teammate, a shutdown D man with above-average puck movement skills as I continue developing my offensive game. 

My goal is to be at my best on and off the ice. In addition to my passion for hockey, I enjoy listening to music and playing the guitar. My longer-term goals are to be able to earn a university degree and a pilot's license while playing this great game.

The leaders I look up to are those who remember their roots, are confident in themselves but also kind and respectful. Hard work, being a great teammate, knowing that you play how you practice and the importance of character and family are important to me.
