My long term goal is to play in the National Hockey league, however i have set realistic short term goals all along my hocckey career.
When I started hockey my father went away to finish his Doctorate in physical therapy to better our family, and that first year in hockey with him away, I did not make the A team in our local association. My short term goal was to make the A team the next year, and I did .
Then I was told I was slow , So i said i would work on my speed, I got better top end speed.
Then i was told i had slow feet and my first three steps where heavy. So i worked on fast feet, now I am certainly in the top 5% for speed in my age with and without the puck.
I have play every possible level of hockey starting in houseleague,A,BB,AA,AAA consistently getting better over the span of my career playing AAA the last 4 years including playing up into 3 age groups higher and I have also participated in the JUNOR A Choweder cup and have produced and in a CCH:L junior A tounament in the CCHL in Canada and prodcued at the age of 14.
What makes me a great candidate for any team is i believe the letter on my shirt does not dictate my work ethic, ive worked like a AAA kid when i played houseleague. I am about the team,I want to win championships with my team and I will play all parts fo 200 feet to get that done. I am strong character with high integrity and a good moral compass....... which is often lacking these day this makes me different .
When it comes to athletics i am a natural athelete who has sacrificed a lot of other normal childhood activities to hone my skills in hockey .In term of academics my work ethic does not stop at the rink and i presently sit between a 93-96 average.
